A Different Season

Across most of our world, the weather is starting to change as the days grow shorter.  Leaves are turning gold and red and 'Fall is in the air'.  It's a different season.

Gary and I find ourselves in a different season spiritually.  It’s a time for trust, faith and leaning harder into the heart of  God .

Hebrews 11:8 tells us that “By Faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.”  (NKJV)

That’s how we feel in this season.  Celebrating 40 years of Global Missions – and yet not having a clear picture of ‘where we are going’ next.  It's been an amazing journey.  Once we said 'YES' to God, it just hasn't stopped. The Lord has taken us to over 15 nations sharing the Good News of Jesus with literally tens of thousands of people in open air crusades, through Bible distribution, encouraging the underground churches, teaching in Bible Schools, discipleship training, local churches, encouraging pastors and leaders as they do the work of the ministry.

Our travels back to India took us through Ireland where we toured the ‘Emerald Isle’ and had sweet fellowship with long-time friends Andrew and Lesley.  They were missionaries in Thailand when we met in 2011.  Our hearts have stayed close, even when we are physically far apart.

It's time to rejoice! The Lord has answered a cry of our heart and opened the door for us to return to Myanmar where we will be teaching the Legacy Discipleship course. Our spiritual son and daughter are planning to travel to see us.  (They run the Daniel Education Center for village children to attend school in the city.)

Plans are also underway to teach the Legacy Discipleship course in Africa. We'll keep you posted.

That’s the next step.  But what comes after that? Where else will the Lord send us?  What other nations has He given ‘as our inheritance’? (Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance. And the ends of the earth for Your possession. Psalm 2:8)

We’ve asked, God is always faithful to answer. It's a season of trusting and waiting and worshipping.

Thank you for your faithful support us as we go.  Your giving, your prayers and your loving encouragement strengthen our hearts.

The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller. The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped. Proverbs 11:24-25 MSG

Your world is larger. Your blessing is abundant. You are blessed.
